A friend of mine has a chance to buy a 63 split with 14k miles and all original that has been stored since 1977 by one owner. A true barn find. The paint is bad and I'm sure it needs moocho work to make it drivable let alone "restored". How would he find out a fair price to pay? Anybody have a range, suggestions? I believe it's a 250 or 300 w/4 sp. Few details at this time.
Really need to see a lot of pictures to estimate. I've seen a lot of one owner cars that are far worse than cars with many owners. It's nice to have the one-owner history but not a value-adder if it's rusted out, a heavy wreck, or missing the tags.
"All original with 14k miles" means absolutely nothing in terms of value for a car that has been improperly stored for 46 years. The only saving grace is that, hopefully, it has all of it's original parts.

or it could be a N03 car with AC thats black on red. or it could be flared wreck
I'm in Florida, he's in NY. Trying to get more details. Thanks for all your responses. I know this car personally but never saw it up close. It was stored in a neighbor's in the house garage for years and I would occasionally see it when the door was open. The only thing I know is that it's white.

W/O more data too many variables for any reasonable guesstimate.......................add more info as you receive it and many here will have an opinion or comment on value. begee22
Sitting for 40 years. Complete mechanical restoration needed. Unknown frame and birdcage. Could be perfect. Could be total trash due to rodents. Body and glass should be OK.
