700r4 conversion question
Still laying out converting my 65 from a 5 speed tremac to a 700r4 overdrive. Looks like everything will fit, except the exhaust. Looks like the pipes will not clear the pan of the 700r4. Has anyone that installed a 700r4 run into this problem? I do not want to installl side pipes. It appears that bending pipes to enter clear the trans pan and still enter the frame cross member would be hard.

The passenger side will have t be bent and installed by an exhaust shop, but can be done. Powerglide equipped cars had 2'' exhaust which makes it much easier. 2.5'' is harder to install but can be done. There are some pictures somewhere on this forum.
