Those aren't original holders. OEM Trico had flat front and back halves not arched front halves like yours.

This is what real ORIGINAL '63 Wipers look like.
Note the Original Inserts and the part/patent numbers.

Believe it or not I think the early 63 blades don't reference CAN 63, they say pat pending and no numbers. I will look at the blades I have.

Thanks everyone these pictures are priceless to me. I had no idea what I was supposed to have. As it turns out I do have correct arms but my holders and blades are incorrect. I have to say that in the Nolands book although the pictures are lousy the assembly line pictures look a lot like Bruces. I will now start a search for original holders and blades.

Thanks to all
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Do you have the "peaked" stainless blade holders? If so, those are late-'66 & '67.

Not sure if you go to the winter swap they have in Kissimmee (not sure where it is now) but I went a couple times and there was a wipers/holders/arms vendor there that had a nice selection. I bought everything from him for my last ‘63 at a reasonable price.

Jay,
I have been following this discussion and I agree with you very difficult to figure out what is original and not original. I think I understand the refill ends. Maybe someone can show side by side of original and not original would be helpful. Circled picture almost looks like screw rather than rivet not sure what is being compared.

You can't show side by side of OEM, and not original.. There are too many varieties of not original.
Once you have seen some OEM, it becomes very easy to tell what is NOT OEM.

Look at post 2 above for view of OEM arms.
Look at posts 5 and 7 above for clear views of OEM holders/ rubber inserts.

Steve I am sure glad that someone else is also seeing the confusion about original versus non original 63 wipers. I now understand the part about the flat versus arched holders but I am still totally confused about which receiver is correct. I agree with you that the circled receiver above does appear to have a screw in it instead of a round hear fastener / rivit.
