What is the maximum intake height for a SB in a midyear that will fit under the hood with the stock 64/65 SHP auto cleaner?

The intake pad center heights in red have been reported to fit.

Some like the GM Z28 fit under a BB hood or with a short air filter assembly.

Nothing is guaranteed to fit due to vehicle differences (body & motor mounts, repairs, etc.).

Yes, that is certainly a true statement. Sorter element does no good with the 1964/65 air cleaner housing.
