I have a '66 Vette (327/300) and I'm trying to decode a # on the front of the engine pad. What does 1020H0 mean? The other # on the pad matches the VIN #. Thanks

You didn't ask, but just to complete the picture: There should be an F before 1020HO. The F stands for the Flint, Michigan, GM engine plant. If you further explore the block, on the top of the rear flange where the transmission attaches will be a casting number and date code. The casting should be 3858174 with a casting date likely beginning with the letter J indicating October.
