I don’t think I can make the chrome ***** on my ’62 dash and heater controls look as good as new by just buffing and polishing. My preference would be to send them off to be plated rather than replace them with reproductions. Has anyone ever removed the ***** from parts that don’t get chromed? That would include having to separate the heater control ***** from the cables, separate the cigarette lighter **** from the lighter, and the removing the washer button from the center of the wiper ****. Is that possible or is replacing these things with reproductions the only option? Or any bright ideas to make them look good?
