67 headlight access
I had my motors out several times, and it really wasn’t difficult, a little weird trying to look at a mirror image, but not too difficult.
I did remove the hood support and moved the bolt holes one position, as seen in the photo. This allowed the hood to be held at a more vertical orientation, which provides more access room from the top side.
I took some photos with my cell phone so I could study the orientation of the plugs, etc…
IIRC, there are only 3 plugs; one for the motor and 2 for the limit switch. Unplugging the limit switches should not affect opening and closing, they only activate the warning light for the headlights.
here is the limit switch after the motor was removed. It has 2 connectors, one top and one bottom
here you can see the limit switch behind the motor, as installed

I learned a very long time ago how to deal with the motors by feel and yes, they can be installed and removed through the space between the hood and the front header when the hood is open.

I had pulled/disassembled/cleaned/lubed/reinstalled the motors at that time, along with verifying the buckets rotated with little to no resistance…
I have since purchased/added the mounting pins and clips. There was a lot of flip in the buckets because the motors could still rotate a bit without the pins (one of the straps actually disengaged from the rubber grommets). I bought all the pieces from Paragon…
Heres a picture after I slid the motor off the shaft…
This was s as I bought it. The motor slid off the shaft without removing anything… surprised it worked with no ground screw, although it was noticeably d sad lower than the other side…
