Looking at the U-tube for Mike's, it appears the temperature sensor mounts where the divorced choke spring mounted on the manifold between cylinders 4 & 6 if you have that style on your 64. If you have the tube from the exhaust manifold, I would think the sensor would still be ok mounted on an intake bolt between 4 & 6, but that is just a guess. Their site doesn't really tell you. Most electric chokes don't have this temperature sensor, sounds like it might be a good idea.

It's not what you asked, but I don't use electric chokes on these cars. Lots of reasons, but if you do, why not use the one that just replaces the choke and doesn't require a separate sensor. Cleaner, less hassle.

I hate electric chokes, but had to use one on the 68RS as the C3B intake does not have the well for the divorced choke spring. The constant draw on the electrical system is an unnecessary addition in my opinion, but I had a manual cable on it, but then with age, it would forget to come off or was it me. Plus, I added an inline fuse to prevent a problem should it short out.

Everyone who sells chokes. They fit on the side in place of the original and look like it except they have 12v run to them whenever the key is on. No external sensor. Adjustable just like the original.
You can also buy them in local auto parts stores. The are extremely common. Example:

Your local parts store or any vendor will sell the standard electric choke.

I put a 10 amp fuse in the 12 ga. wire I ran to the choke. I didn't like the almost wire they provide. I ran the choke from the IGN lug on R68 which is a real ignition controlled source. Popped the wire thru the grommet for the backup lights I believe, it's been a while. I am wanting to fabricate a can to put on the C3B intake where the original divorced choke would go. Probably fabricate the can and a base to fit the center intake bolts.
