1957 Power Window Install Issues
I have installed Specialty Power Windows kit #5762-2CV in my 1957 Corvette. All of the pieces are assembled correctly as far as I can tell. Unfortunately, the window rocks excessively front to back during the rise and lower function, particularly a problem when putting the window up. I called the tech line and basically they told me to check that all of the rollers were in the channel and that the front and back window guides were not in a bind. I did all of that and the problem persists. The driver's side window, which has yet to be converted and is still mechanical, does rock back and forth a very small amount but not nearly as extreme as the new power installation.
Has anyone encountered this sort of problem with the Specialty Power Window kits? Am I missing something? Are there any thoughts on a fix? Thanks
