What year?
Did you check for power at the wiper motor connector? There should be 12V, I use a test light, there with the key on. In 65 it will be a brown wire in the three wire plug.
The wiper switch grounds one or two of the wires to give you low and high speed, The third on the switch is a ground.
Give me the year and I will give you the colors to check.
"No Joke" I had no power to my wiper switch a couple weeks ago. After playing around for a few minutes, and for no reason, I felt up behind the dash and found the switch had fallen apart - yes, the switch separated. Just say'n.
At the wiper motor, check for power at the brown wire at the three wire connector,
Make sure the motor is grounded, it uses a separate wire, black. I would take a test lead and jump from the negative battery terminal to the motor housing.
if you have power there and the ground is good, try grounding either the yellow or light blue wire by back probing.
The dark blue is for the washers.
Report back.
