Fuel Pump Storage Advice Needed
). As part of troubleshooting I took a brand new fuel pump I had in my 'spares' stock and swapped out the old fuel pump to see if the issue was related. It was not.I can either put the old FP back in and store the 'new' fuel pump, or keep the 'New' FP in and store the 'old' one.
Question; Now that ethanol fuel has been run through both of them, and maybe I am overthinking this (given how many rubber parts and diaphragms I have seen eaten by ethanol fuels), but I am thinking that ideally, I might want to run something through to be 'stored' FP to flush out any remnants of the ethanol so the FP has better chances for its' shelf life.
Thoughts ?
Thanks !
, but for small parts (fuel pump, master cylinder, head lights, etc., I put them in plastic bags and use her vacuum sealer to draw the air out and seal the bags. The whole idea is to keep the moisture out and air too.
