I have various Sun Distributor machine schematics, but the Model 504 does not appear to one of them. However, the individual sections may be the same or similar.
If you want what I have, send me an email address via a PM, and I can send them.
There was a time I had access to the schematics and service manuals for every obsolete Sun tester ever made. When I worked there, we had handed-off all the service and parts support to a retired employee named Roger Kunz because Snap-on didn't want to invest resources in the old equipment. I am not sure if Roger is with us anymore. Roger's phone number is/was (815) 344-6538.
You might try these guys as well, they seem to be in the business of restoring the distributor testers.
Note that I converted my SDT over to a solid state unit with a LED (that replaced the neon strobe), that is far brighter, and eliminates the vacuum tubes and most of the transformers. As for the Dwell and RPM meters, I use a separate modern handheld unit, even though my Sun Machine meters still function, but they are not as accurate anymore (even going through the correct Sun calibration procedures).
The conversion came from a gentleman up in Canada, and he was extremely helpful.

If you need anything for it contact Mark at Paramount. He helped me sort through an obscure issue with mine that I couldn't resolve (had him scratching his head for a bit as well.....). Great guy to work with.

I sent for this 504 schematic but it was only the drive section. I need the whole machine. Specifically I am working on the tach/dwell section which he didn't cover on this link.

I have the Sun Repair pages for the Tach /Dwell unit, that dates to 1960, with some pages revised 1967.
Don't know if they apply to your DT-504.
I can send them via an email, if you want to send me your email address via a PM to me.
