I'm about to replumb my brake lines and thought I read somewhere that power brakes will have larger diameter lines (looking to upgrade to power brakes as well). Any truth to this? What size lines are most folks running?

Since you did not specify what year, any C2 year prior to 66 will be 3/16 line with or without power brakes. In 66 the front to rear feed line changed to 1/4 but the remaining lines stayed 3/16. I am assuming C1 corvettes will also be 3/16. If you are working on a C2 there is no need to use the 67-brake line plumbing unless you have a 67. The 67 plumbing incorporated a pressure differential switch which many, including the vendors, mistakenly refer to as a proportioning valve. That switch only serves to illuminate a brake warning light and does nothing to adjust front to rear brake bias. I would use the 66 brake lines to avoid the additional plumbing connections used in 67 and a dual circuit master will be sized for the 1/4-line fitting unless you are using the 65-power brake master which will be sized for the 3/16 line fitting. Be aware of the rear brake tee size 3/16 vs 1/4 line. Also, potential problem with body clearance as the 66 onward floor pan was notched for the revised brake line routing. Many have done this and not had a problem. Lastly help us help you by specifying what year you are working on, and it also helps if you fill out your profile with cars, city, and state.
