Default Brake line flush

I am waiting for the return of my newly restored 63 master cylinder and booster.
I would like to flush the brake lines before installing the new parts. I am asking for tips and advice on how to do this. The car will be put up on jack stands as I do not have access to a lift.
The wheel cylinders were rebuilt last year with nos cups and seals.
I was thinking of gravity draining the lines and even using compressed air to help. After the initial drain I would like to flush the lines .What is used for this ?
Thanks in advance. Tom

Get a some denatured alcohol and use that to flush the lines

Just finished buttoning up 4 new Wilwoods 30 minutes ago. Interesting football games are on so over the next few hours so using gravity first. Then will double check with a $30 pull bleeding tool from Amazon. First time doing this by myself. Fingers crossed.

63 M/C is a single circuit . Will start with gravity .

a few things come to mind…

will denatured alcohol harm the new/old seals?

Id be careful with using compressed air, I’d be worried about some fluid getting on the paint…. I think I’d at least get some fittings to connect the IF fitting (at the master) to your air line, just to be sure brake fluid doesn’t spray everywhere when trying to hold a blow gun up to the open line…. Maybe wrap rags around the backing plates to catch fluid blown out by the air…

Good suggestions. As far as the air goes ,I was thinking of using a regulator to turn the pressure way down. Maybe even a bicycle pump.

Ken the owner at Lone Star Calipers told us that. When we bought a new M/C and wasn't sure what fluid was in the system. He said to use that and add fluid That was over ten years ago and all is well

also working in a aerospace manufacture for a while they used that for everything cleaning

I've always used brake clean and then a really low pressure compressed air to flush it out.

If I felt the need to do this I would flush with the brake fluid I planned to use and start with the cylinder that's furthest away.

Tom,
The best and safest way for you to clear your brake lines is to wait for your master cylinder and brake booster to arrive. Bench bleed the master cylinder and install both the booster and master cylinder. Connect the brake lines to the master cylinder and perform a normal brake bleed procedure, starting with the right rear, left rear, right front and, finally, the left front. There is no need to clear to old brake fluid out of the brake lines prior to installing the master cylinder and bleeding the system.

Thanks Leif, I have been coming to that conclusion. The parts were shipped from the east coast last Monday so if they are returned in the same time it took to get them there they should be here today. Thanks for your response .

Start with the cylinder that is farthest from the master.

Thanks polo.
I saw a post the other day about the washers that go on the brake pedal and a supplier who has them. If someone could pass that to me it would be great !! ( cadbrain ) ?
I don't know if they are for a 63 or not.
