I've never worried much about it. Drive it around a little and engage/disengage a few times. I know some MFG's talk about doing it in cycles...but it's either OK or not.

When I replaced them at the track, it was about 1/8 mile to the staging lanes. A couple of all out passes meant it was good. I never broke in a clutch, but did break a few on the launch.

I've always lightly sanded the disc and do 5 local trips of about 10 miles at moderate speeds and let the car cool down completely between drives.
