Default Convertible plastic window

I put the top up yesterday and couldn’t see out of the back window due to scratches and whatever. Trying to save it, I tried Scratch Out from AutoZone ($7). I wish I had before pics but it now looks new.

If you want to keep it looking clear without scratches, get a large (27x57) cotton bath towel. With the top up, lay it over the window. Part of the towel should lay on the top. Drop the top slowly and the towel should stay in between the folds. If not work with it. I have done this for many years. Dennis

I do this too and it works well. I do have a couple minor differences - I use a new (never in sand!) beach towel for its larger size, and I lay one arm across the top of the towel to hold it in place while folding the top with the other hand.

I took a virgin beach and rolled it up and lay it in the fold of the plastic window, that way I’ve gotten no creases.

I’ve done the towel with good results, but what about the inside against (from memory) the top pads?

I’ll have to try this on my hardtop plexiglass.

I might be misunderstanding but I put the pad (your choice) on the back of the top (over the window), pull the bottom up and fold it over (so I can see if there is a crease) and let the top down holding the bottom folded up as it goes down.

I 'borrowed' a couple bottles of canopy cleaner from the USN when I mustered off the (aircraft carrier) Ranger in 1969.I have used it on many vette windows over the years. I have never seen this product but, because I am out, I will give it a try.
