Spintech mufflers
Getting ready to install the new motor and will be redoing the whole exhaust system in 2 1/4 or 2 1/2". Trying to decide on mufflers. I've heard a lot of good things about Spintech mufflers and was just wondering if any of you have had any experience with them. I want to be able to hear them but don't want the resonance of some others and not so loud that we can't comfortably do road trips. :steering:

The Spintech is an incredible muffler. I have the 3-1/2" oval style on my '67 and my son has regular 2-1/2" ones.
They have a unique sound but they are somewhat loud. They (and almost every performance based muffler I have ever used) do have a resonance but once you get past that rpm range, they aren't too bad.
From a power standpoint, I lost less than 20rwhp from open headers on my 700+rwhp motor.

Thanks for the reply, Steve. Do you recall which model you have? They have several models with varying degrees of loudness. I'm looking at the oval Sportsman Street model but would like to talk to someone who is running them. :cheers:
