Hi friends. I've been wanting to share a some progress pics of my project for some time and thought why not now. I bought 63 roadster off of this forum classified ads in October of 2022. Car was located in the Las Vegas area. I'm the second owner of it. Car was a daily driver in Florida for 30 years and then garaged in Las Vegas for 30 years. Bought it from the widow who finally parted with it about 10 years after her husband passed away. Her husband truly loved the car and would often sit in it in the garage even though it no longer ran. I stay in contact with her and have kept her updated with pics of my progress. I've made good progress. I am restomodding the car. It was a no option car except a heater. 250hp, 3 speed trans, open differential basically purchased new as cheaply as possible. I've rebuilt the 327 to about 400hp, TKX 5 speed trans, a rebuilt 65 differential with 355 gears, converted brakes to Wilwood discs all 4 wheels, vintage air, tilt wheel, color change etc. This car is going to be driven. My goal is to take it on the Hotrod Power Tour. Here's a few pics and wishing all of you happy holidays. Regards, Marv
Not only is your car itself coming along great, but I'm also impressed with that body dolly! Sure beats the bunch of 2x4's I used, and it looks like it can be adjusted for various other projects.
Looks great! I did mostly the same modifications to my 66. It is easier to drive and is way more comfortable to drive in the heat. I moved the battery to the driver side and added the door on the skirt. Makes changing the battery so much easier. Keep the pictures coming. Jerry
Any details on your engine build. What did you do to get 400hp?
The engine compression is now 11:1, performance cam and Edelbrock performance aluminum heads, all roller. 400hp is the guesstimate of the engine builder. It hasn't been run yet

Love that Blue. Brings back memories of a 55 I painted "Midnight Blue" back in the 60s.
Keep going, the fun is the cruisingl.
Thanks. I was going to paint the car Daytona Blue but after several spray outs from different paint sources I didn't care for the way it looked, too much metallic. Since I was restomodding the car I decided to look for another blue. Came up with this color from a vintage Porsche. Dunkelblau. No metallic and I went with a single stage paint with a hardner. I'm still color sanding and buffing but just about done with that now.
It's great to see someone's vision come together. Beauty, power, and driveability are a perfect combination.
Progress is a powerful motivator. Good luck going forward. Please share your updates.
Sorry it took me some time to look this up. Holidays. I used Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads EDL-60895 and Comp cam Thumper Retrofit Hydraulic Roller and Lifter kit CL12-600-8. Happy New Year. Marv
Further progress in the paint area of my car. I've been doing the cut and buff on the car for about the last month. I'm a glutton for punishment. Been about 25 years since I've done this work. Things have certainly changed over that time. This is my first time using foam pads after I use wool pads to start with. Also the compounds have changed as well. I'd like to recommend Griots Garage ultimate compound and polish. I had been using Meguiar's Ultra Pro Speed compound and polish. I was quite frankly frustrated thinking something had to be wrong as I was having great difficulty getting even 3000 grit sanding marks off of the car. I decided to switch to the Griots products after watching a YouTube video of it and it has been a night and day difference. Able to get 2000 grit sanding marks off using just foam pads. The shine is amazing. Just thought I would share this with you. Happy New Year. Marv
