What do you think of this 63 Coupe just sold?
I couldn't make sens of the interior condition. Seats and rugs look real nice but the dash was a mess. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12624985735...%7C1000%7C2500

Condition states 'non-running engine' but turns over' with a paint issue that may cost 20-30K depending on why its bubbling. begee22
Makes sense to me. As bad as that FI unit looks, my hunch is that the internal pump had seized. As soon as starter turned the engine, the pump cable broke. No possible way for the engine to run after that.
I’d be more concerned about the engine stamping that is FI921RF? Unless they use a different Calendar that has 19 months in a year, F is Flint 19 should be the month 21 the day RF fuel injection. think that’s a restamp?🤦♂️

Right on. Everything about that stamp- the font (should use an I for a 1) alignment, and most of all, the date logic- is dead wrong.
It was in a garage when there was a fire involving a golf cart with a battery which exploded. The metal condition, and likely the paint issue, can be explained by this. There was corrosive soot which ate the metal- including the metallic content of the paint.
