Looking at this 64 this weekend. 1 owner, garage kept, not driven since 73 but started a few times a year and oil changed regularly. Never offered for sale before, not listed anywhere yet. Letting me have first chance at it. L75 4 speed. 22k miles. All original paperwork and title. No rust, no ac, has original wheels and tires with it. 100 percent original parts come with it, everything ever removed. I'm thinking 45k value. I don't want to start too high and also don't want to insult them. Owner has only said to make a offer.
Paint looks bad all over but i want to leave it as is

64's are very popular on Our Forum. 40K will get some of the visual issues resolved. Paint needed will run 10K-20K..... If all is as stated, I like it!!
I see an L76 tach. Are you sure it's L75? What other options? Trim and vin tags unmolested? What are OEM color and trim? Blk with Blk/White? Is it original paint and gut? Looks like it. All original tinted glass? Looks so.
If in fact L75, and you would intend to have it painted, then 50ish.. If an L76, and you would leave it as is, with clean up, and sorting, 55-60ish..
I'm constantly amazed at how many of these cars are out there sleeping for 25, 35, 50 years and still gradually coming to light. What's the story on why the owner would keep it his whole life but not drive it for most of that time?
Appears to be no cracks in the steering wheel. Steering wheel, dash and gauges look pristine. Nice find. But for the paint and wheels the car looks to be solid.
That front end has been repainted... poorly. Be careful, but I would say 40k if the frame is o-k.
I thought the same about the repaint. Almost wonder if the whole front clip was repainted, hard to tell from the lighting. How about more pics so we can be more certain?
Nothing was said about "no hit", and it's possibly had a repaint on the front which isn't normal for 9 years and 22k miles. He says he's looking at it this weekend, hopefully he'll come back with a ton of pics to give everyone a better idea of what the car is.
I have always found it beneficial to not price other peoples cars and parts. Ask the owner what price he would be comfortable with and either start there or thank him for his time. In my experience, all sellers have a price in mind.

car is untouched. Black with white interior. I'm going to leave it as is if I buy it.
