Default 63 front bumper brackets

Does anyone know if the outer front bumper brackets on a 63 have any markings on them? I know they are supposed to be 1/4 inch thick and the inners have the HD stamp but the bumpers weren't on this car when I bought it so I have no idea about the outer brackets.

Are you looking for a location marking, such as L or R position? I would think the position can be determined by playing with the fitment. Looking at my own, they are not interchangeable. Dennis

No, I actually have thin NOS replacements but those aren't NCRS correct for 63. Most of the brackets on a 63 have some marking that certifies they are OEM. The rear brackets have a b stamp on them. The center front has a HD stamp on them. If the factory ones have a known stamp I wanted to stick with them. If they are blank then I can get thick aftermarket ones

FYI - the 63 NCRS Judging Manual makes no mention of any type markings on the front bumper braces, only that 63 are 1/4" thick and 3/16" in 64. Bolts used to secure the braces to the frame and bumper were cadmium plated with common bolt head markings of "TR", "M", "WB", AND "RBW"...... same for the rear bumpers. I must the assume the judging is more concerned with the markings on the bolts then markings on the braces.

Do you mean the DH markings on the upper center brackets?? I have a couple year old judging manual that says nothing about markings on the brackets.

Inboard side of the upper center brace. Its a stamp D approx. 3/8 high with the H inside of the D. I seen them on my brackets when I had it apart.

Mine have those markings so they are correct. I didn't know if the outboard brackets had any markings on them. Every bracket on the rear bumper has a letter marking.
