Default Door Panels

I'm replacing my door panels. I've had the car for 27 years. 65 Convertible. The hinge covers and front regulator covers are gone. Opinions on whether they are necessary. I do figure on installing a new vapor barrier.

I guess each year is different. But what is a hinge cover? Thanks. Mark

Mark I think he is talking about the stamped steel covers that cover the opening in the doors to access vent window regulator and window track. I know the metal covers were used on 65. And in 67 they are not.

oh, Thanks for explaining that, Keith. My 1966 (April 19th) car did not have them and thought they were missing. But no screw holes for them and after a little research concluded it did not come with them. Cheers. Mark

Yes, mine are missing and there are holes for screws. Most vendors don't have them. I found one the just had refurbished old ones. If they stopped using them I won't bother.

You have one, use it as pattern and make the rest...
