Default Block casting # 3782870

Friend of mine has a 327 in his garage with casting # 3782870. Seems to be a complete long block. I believe it is a 250 hp
motor considering the heads that are on it. It turns over and has no carburetor . What's it worth?

$250…

is it an actual “Corvette” motor? Or just a 327?

$250-$300…. Maybe more, but condition and provenance make a difference.

Look also the engine pad stamping, right front, immediately ahead of and in the same plane as the passenger side cylinder head.

Do Not, Do Not, I repeat Do Not use ANYHTING ABRASIVE to clean the passenger side stamp pad just in front of the passenger side cylinder head at it's base.

If it turns out to be an actual corvette block , abrasives will damage or remove the broach marcks and reduce the value of the block.
