Has anyone had PPF put on a C2?I saw some older post regarding it but was wondering if someone could share some more recent information.
It is quite the rage with the Bentley,’Benz,Range Rover,Tesla crowd in my area.I know a couple of C8 owners that have it but have never run across a C2 using it.
Subscribed as I am wondering the same thing with regard to the latest products and prices
My car does have a great paint job
I asked the question in the past, not just here, and have gotten every answer under the sun
For me, price is an issue, for quallity PPF applications here in SoCal cost a fortune.
One local high end classic car restoration shop here told me to leave the PPF off, drive the car for 10 years
then get it painted again.
I have been debating this too. Just got it back from paint & looks beautiful. I am thinking I will go with PPF behind the wheels & on the nose by a Pro & then a quality ceramic coating applied by me. I believe I read somewhere to wait at 3 months after new paint.

I have PPF on my 66. I dont get this I cant put this film on a car by my self. thought.
It really is easy and a lot easier than a few years ago. Just go on the inter net and
buy a roll of film. Decide where you want it on your car, make patterns, cut the film and
apply. If you screw up start over. Have some patience, and it will look great. I have mine on the
front ,and a long the wheel wells. You can buy some basic tools for twenty bucks to help
apply the film. I drive my car, race it and you would think it was a garage queen.
Good luck
I had the whole car done about 5 yrs ago. I even had the rocker panels covered with a satin film too. It was around $5k all in at the time. After spending the $$ to build my restomod, I was afraid of driving it and getting chips in the paint. The only area I left uncovered was the rear area around the taillights. All the bumpers, badges and misc trim pieces were removed before application. My whole front clip was done w/ 1 piece of film...the only seams visible are on the front corners and under the cowl area of the hood...and you have to look for them. I also had the whole car ceramic coated afterwords. I've never had to wash/wax my car...I wipe clean w/ microfiber towel. No chips or scratches after 5 yrs and well worth the $$ to me.

Beautiful car - guessing that is Elkhart from the second pic? (prob the lighting throwing me off)
OP - a number of the members have done this on various parts - particularly the nose. Several quality options out there.
Good threads in the archives as well.
