I was thinking of trading up to a C2. I sat in a 65 with a hardtop and I couldnt fit in it comfortably. I have a '71 now and there is plenty of headroom with the soft top up, I must admit I have never had my hardtop on my car though. Would I get more headroom with a soft top on the midyear. I am 6"2" can I fit in a midyear.
I'm 6'1" and fit just fine in my 65 with the softtop, I don't have a hardtop so I really can't comment on that. The '58 is a different story -- guess people were shorter in 58...
I am 6'1" also and have no problem in my 66 vert with the soft top. I have never installed the aux hardtop on my 66, so I don't know if that makes a difference...
Based on the responses it must make a difference because I am six foot and with new seat foam buns installed my hair hits the roof of the hardtop. I wonder if this is a good enough excuse to slouch way down in the seat and drive with one hand on the wheel in bling bling mode! :D

I'm 6'4" and I slightly rub the roof on my coupe....but the seat buns are very high still from a redo in 1990....as far as leg room....it works, have to splay out your legs some, but I have driven 4 hours at a clip without being crippled afterwards. I cant even get into a pre 58!
I'm 6'4" and have a couple of inches of headroom in the roadster - but Iam cheating. My car has Recaro (orthopedic) seats. That way I can feel refreshed after 10-12 hours in the saddle (pump up lumbar support) and still hear the stereo with the top down (head rest speakers).
Run down to your run down junk yard and rip a set out of an old 80s Mustang GT or 80s Tbird with Recaro Buckets.
Well I have NEVER been accused of being good looking but if the rest of my family is any guide I am set for at least a few more years in the hair department! :D
