To all of the "Restomod" Gurus of the Corvette world,
I have a question regarding a complete upgrade for a C2 project. I'm getting conflicting information regarding the stuffing of a wet sump LT4 into a C2 with an upgraded (AM, Roadster Shop, SRIII, etc.) frame. I was told that the LT4 is too tall and frame modifications (lowering the engine) and a taller hood, as well as conversion to dry sump would be the only way to make it work. On the other hand, others have told me that a wet sump LT4 will fit no problem without any of those changes. Not having frames or LT4's laying around makes it difficult to determined what needs to be done. Can anyone that has had any experience with this type of conversion chime in and let me know what will need to be done (if anything) to accomplish this conversion?
Any information would be appreciated.

A belated reply on fitment of the LT4. I'm just finishing a 63 LT4 on an AM narrow IFRS chassis. The LT4 will clear the stock 63 hood on this chassis *** IF ** you use the first generation sloped supercharger lid. It will NOT fit if you use the second generation lid. I bought a new connect and cruise LT4 kit and had to swap lids for the stock hood to close. The alternative would have been to use a big block hood - which I did not want to do.
If you go with an AM IFRS chassis - I can help with component selection / fitment. The front drive is another challenge - and I was only able to find one of the many aftermarket drive systems out there that will fit.
