50 Corvettes at St. Lewis
According to Ken Kayser’s book, The History of GM’s Ramjet Fuel Injection on the Chevrolet V-8 the photo above was probably taken January 15, 1957 . Fifty RPO-597C in the marshaling yard at the St. Lewis Assembly plant. The reason they were there is because they had the “new” high compression pistons installed in the engines prior to having the documentation signed off. The book is very interesting if you’re into the nuts and bolts of how the fuel injection came about.(Chapter 9 pgs. 282 &283)

Tom, If I may, what the other tw of Kens boks titled, I would be interested in following the evolution if they provide insight into the evolution.. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.
