Are you sure the driver side is really negative caster and not positive? That pass side caster figure is also unusually high for a Corvette. I also don’t know how you’re getting such high negative camber figures with virtually no shims. I wonder if you aren’t getting positive and negative figures turned around by accident. What equipment are you using?

Using a bubble camber/caster gauge , could definitely be reading it wrong as not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination

Which type of bubble guage is it?

The top one I have no experience with. The bottom one is similar to one of two I have. The instructions have to be carefully followed for each side as to whether to turn in first or out first for a negative or positive result. Kind of easy to confuse yourself at times. I usually start with no shims at the front and add shims at the rear until I get my usual target of 1/2 neg camber (top of tire leaning in. This assists in getting a high + caster reading (upper ball joint back of lower ball joint). Then I check caster and see what I have and if both sides are close. If not close then I will probably reduce the higher caster figure to get it closer to the lesser one by shifting a shim from the rear to the front on that side - sort have to play with the thickness of shim to get close with it. I’m not sure this is the best approach - it’s just what I do.

Also, I don’t lock anything down until I’ve run camber, caster and toe at least 2 times with the same results. I would just check your instructions closely to make sure you are following them.

Nice caster plates. A couple cautions. You need to have the car on a very level piece of concrete or it throws things off. Also, for accurate caster you need to put shims under the rear tires that are the same thickness as the turning plates or you will get slightly exaggerated caster figure. Good luck. Hope some others have some ideas.
