I have a 1966 L79 327. I went for a drive Friday night and everything was fine. Went to start it this morning, it ran for about 5-10 seconds and died. It wouldn't turn over after that. I thought maybe I flooded it so I waited a couple hours and tried again. Pumped twice, set the choke, it turned right over but died after 5-10 seconds.
Tally - Welcome to the Corvette Forum. The list of possible causes to your problem could be very long but it might help to fill us in on the details, namely, anything done or replaced recently?
As 66Jack said, it sounds like it's fuel related but at the same time, couldn't hurt to check all electrical connections too.
Good luck,

Bulkhead connector on firewall...just push them in, there are 2 and they're taped together, its below the master cylinder...'do not wiggle it'....'tabs' are very brittle where it snaps in place..

Hi Mike,
Nothing has been done to the car or replaced. I'll check into 66Jacks suggestions and also check the electrical connections too. Thanks much.
When it's hot and won't are you smelling fuel ? If not perhaps try a squirt of Carb Cleaner or Starting Fluid spray. If it fires right up then you're on the right trail. BTW...a coil is not a big investment if you start to lean in that advised direction. .
