I’ve had that HF jack for several years. I can come in from behind on my’67, clear the spare tire carrier with a little maneuvering finesse, get the jack saddle under the center point of the rear spring and lift the rear of the car high enough to get 10” tall Race Ramps under the tires. This is possible even with the rear wheels dropping down when off the ground.
A rubber puck on the jack saddle helps.
I haven’t detected any leak down during the 9-10 years I’ve owned the jack but I won’t get under any car supported by any jack without a secondary backup support.
Thanks for all the input, recommendations and suggestions. I bought the HF Daytona 3 ton with 24.25” lift. Worked like a charm on my Grand Cherokee yesterday and is low enough to go under my ‘66 L-79 and my wife’s Acura TLX. My son is happy to acquire my older Craftsman🍻
I've been really impressed with 3 HF products I've bought over the last 4 years: the Daytona floor jack, a Pittsburgh engine hoist, and a newly acquired Pittsb engine stand. The fit and finish is very good on all three. The hoist and stand have fold up legs that really help for storage when not in use. Something I noticed yesterday when buying the stand, my HF no longer has that overwhelming plastic off-gassing smell when I walk in. That in itself kept me away from buying there!
