was there yesterday and today. Saturday is not what it use to be up there. most of the vendors where packing up by 11. and what was left was what you saw in years past. but it was great weather so there was no complaining there and should have zero excuse on why not to show up, it seems Thursday is the old Friday up there with Sat feeling like Sunday up there in years past
Today sucked for parts sales. I cleared a lot of stuff Thurs and Friday, but only sold $17 worth today and so I gave up at noon, went and enjoyed the show.. I talked to some of the other venders and sales were way off today. I still managed to clean out my truck pretty good and picked up some parts to finish my 59. So , I'm happy.
It was beautiful weather. No rain, no excessive heat. Kinda bummed I didn’t come home with any parts. Made offers on many parts and even came up some, but nobody was interested in selling I guess. And some of the parts I saw, I wondered why they would even sell it. I mean I guess one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Can I ask, what would you do with a wiring harness from a 60 year old car that was so brittle and stiff, it would be a feat to try and straighten it out? But yet I saw plenty of them for sale.
To be honest though, I still like going through the parts section. You never know, you might find that diamond in the rough.
I must have went through 50 ignition/distributor shieldings. Some vendors played dumb, didn’t know what the application was. Um ok. Doing my last walk through and found a 63 with the 3 metal rivets, which I believe was the correct one, depending on late or early. But someone decided to take a pair of tin snips and cut the opening larger. Doh! And it looked like it was done by a 4th grader. And he still wanted $110 for it.
Hey guys,
I've been MIA for a while, just been real busy with life.
my sales were down from last year. Thursday was the best, Friday was a little less and yesterday was crap. I packed up and left early too. Figured it was worth it to sleep in my own bed last night.
Stil had a great time, this year I bought one of those adult tricycles and rode that around. It was a great help. covered alot more ground and was still able to see alot.
I have a bunch of C3 stuff left over, I'm going to list it here and blast out of it.
next year, I will hopefully have more time and I'm going to get on the forum and try to meet up with some of you folks.

I picked up a very nice 'grill for my '67. Perfect chrome, nothing broken, brackets secure, $100. Saw many there priced higher in poor condition. Mine is original, but really needs attention; costly attention north of $100. Dennis
I was there all three days and found some very good deals, and found some very fair priced items. I picked up an NOS 63 front valance for $100, a very nice front right outer convertible SS windshield molding for $50 with no damage just needs cleaning and polishing, an NOS 63 shifter boot and inner retainer for $40. I also bought all of my rear bumper brackets, Hedman side exit headers, and flared quarters from a vendor that put them on his 63 split in the 70's and pulled them off in the 80's and had them sitting in his garage 40 years, he practically gave them to me. I found the majority of vendors to be quite fair. I will say I get there at 7:30 when it opens on Thursday only to find a good portion of vendors not set up or have their stuff tarped still from setting up Wednesday evening before the show. I walked the parts section at least three times on Thursday, twice on Friday and again on Saturday around 11:30 and it was a ghost town on Saturday. I bring my wife with me and she attends Saturday and we spend the day looking at the cars. I saw "Blue Stirpes" Dennis's car took a few pics of that and the blue C2's next to him.

One of the other blue C2's was probably mine. We stayed all 3 days, but we really should have bolted after lunch on Saturday. The wife reminded of that when we were being baked putting the car in the trailer and tying it down. We have talked about heading for home on Saturday afternoon, but I don't relish the 6 hour drive without being fresh and alert. Friday is getting to be the busiest day for cars...Saturday MAYBE for spectators.
The weather was the best it has been in years. We park in the Registry rows and also seem to meet someone new (whether they are a regular or not) every year. Thanks to BlueStripe (Dennis) for helping us with our ez-up every morning. The Registry is a great group.
