Default Split window dentist

Been watching BAT & there is a dentist that is paying big money to but every 63 coupe that comes up for auction. Yesterday paid 200,000.00 for a 340 HP frame off. Someone posted on there he has 26 split windows.Dont think he got that kind of money by drilling & filling. Wonder if he is on the CF forum?

Sounds as though I could have made a better career choice than what I ended up doing.

Live well,

Ken
I don't think you'd find him here.. I doubt he is a Corvette enthusiast.. I think he's running a business.

by the way, I dropped you an email yesterday.. Please check for it.

Lots of folks collect things, even more than what seems rational. For example, it's a common joke that the proper number of guitars for a guitarist is whatever number he has, plus 1.

If I had unlimited funds I'd have a lot more cars. But not all of the same model. That seems odd. I could see having a '63 SWC and a '67 BB, but a bunch of '63 SWCs? Not getting it.

But, it's his money and if it makes him happy, I'm happy for him.

IIRC someone posted he has purchased 94 cars total (26 SWC) on BAT!!! He has the right to remain anonymous but I have been skeptical of his identity as a dentist until proven. Hopefully these cars are staying in this country ..........his purchases alone seem to reflect an increase of SWC value. begee22

Yes I saw that. No matter what someone else bids he always gets it.

Hmm, I wonder just how far over market price he will go?

I agree but its kind of weird. I have a good friend Gary that has over 50 classic cars from the 60&70s that lives in Sequim that lives on a mountain that I can see Victoria Island from.

Thats what I find strange. Dosnt seem to matter as he always has the high bid no matter the price. Defiantly has deeper pockets than most I see here at the Scottsdale Auctions.

There was a story on Hagerty about him the other day. I think they said he bought 20 something split windows on BAT since 2023 along with other vettes. One of the comments I read on BAT during one of the sales seems to think he is an exporter. Either way, I will just be happy to get the one car I have running.

His collection is impressive. If I was a potential buyer on BAT, I suppose I would be disheartened and look elsewhere. Has he inflated the value of the '63? Maybe, but remember, he only out bids his competition by one bid-just a little more than the other guy is willing to go. That's classical Capitalism.

I posted on a BAT auction that he needs to buy mine and can find me here on the forum. LOL

BAT doesn't let you get contact information about a person unless you are buying a car
and instantly deleted my post.

Another rumor is he is planning to open a museum in Bar Harbor

I am sure the backstory would be a whole lot of fun to hear

It sure wouldn't surprise me to find out that these cars are being re-sold to buyers with REALLY deep pockets. Like for instance in Saudi Arabia.

That one has to be the nicest one he/they have bought. The SWC cameo appearance in "The Batman " movie really affected the market. He'll have to buy a lot more of them to move the market much.

Perhaps he is creating the market for pricing. I would be skeptical of his occupational status.
