Hi All. This past weekend I went to look at a vehicle for sale (non Corvette) and noticed that the seller had a 1954 Corvette basket case body sitting on his property. The body is in poor shape but is mostly complete other than missing the rear right quarter and the front valance. Sections of the of the floor is missing as well. My guess is that someone was thinking restomod at some point. Doors were present and the seller stated that the vin is on the jamb. He is asking 4K.
I realize that this is a huge project but am curious if his price is realistic. Thank you.

I don’t see any frame. Is there one? I would be concerned about the condition of any birdcage metal (although I know nothing of C1 birdcage or body structure). However, if it has an original Corvette VIN it’s worth something.
I see you are in Placerville. I'm in Pollock and I have a few pieces of '54 fiberglass which I don't need. If you acquire that body, I'd make anything I have that you could use available very reasonably priced..... as in one tick up from "come and get it".
