Default 1959 ignition installation help

I am trying to bench reinstall the dash components. I am at the disadvantage of not being the one who disassembled it, so I do not know how it is to go back together.
I am doing a restomod with a complete rewiring with AAW wiring assemblies. I do not have a stock ignition from the PO.
The AAW ignition threaded portion is not long enough to attach through the dash and the ignition bezel so I got an ignition switch from Corvette Central.
Hopefully someone can help me with the following:
1) Is the key to be installed jagged side up or down?
2) The Ignition switch from CC has three rectangular pieces that will contact the back of the dash (or as I thought, it would fit inside the mating dash trim-outs). With the key flat side up, there are smaller ones at 2:00 and 6:00 with a wider one at 10:00. The dash has two cutouts and 12:00 and 9:00. If nothing goes into one of the dash trim-outs, what keeps the ignition and the ignition bezel from turning (rotating)? I could trim down two of the ignition rectangular pieces, but if not rather exact, you would not get a good contact when tightening. I could also add rectangular cutouts to the dash, but if I do that there is nothing to limit how far the switch can move aft until it bottoms out. The other option would be to install with the key flat side up. That way the the ignition would have contact with the back of the dash at 2:00, 6:00 and 10:00 but nothing to keep it and the ignition bezel from rotating.
What am I missing??
Any help would be appreciated.

Key goes in jagged side down, flat side up. Remove the key, and then remove the tumbler assy. The switch then installs from the back side of the cluster, mating the two rectangular protrusions with the two respective cutouts in the cluster. Next, align the black backing plate (Lock, Off, On Start plastic plate) with the square projections and place that over the switch onto the cluster face. Now screw on the bezel, reinstall the tumbler assy and you should be all set (unless I missed something and I'm sure someone will correct me).

That is what I thought also when I started. Now knowing that the switch is installed flat side up, the switch has three protrusions (at 2:00, 6:00, and 10:00) whereas the dash has only two cutouts (at 9:00 and 12:00) so you can not match up the protrusions with the cutouts (neither in the quantity nor the position).
Is it possible that CC sent me (via Danchuk) the wrong switch?

One of the three "legs" has a small raised bump shown by the red arrow. That bump fits into the alignment hole at the 9:00 position as you look at the dash. That prevents rotation of the switch. You'll feel the bump drop into the slot as you rotate the switch slightly to install. All three legs fit against the inside of the dash to hold it straight when you tighten the retaining nut. The other hole at the 12:00 position is where the bump on the switch bezel fits into to keep the bezel from rotating.

PS. Just noticed, that was post #21,000 for me.

Perfect......Thank you. I did see that little notch when I was looking at it but never put two and two together that that was that was for.
