Default Reference Check -

Hello all;

I'm about to buy a rather expensive part from Northern Corvette - I know that they're a known vendor on the site - but I wanted to make sure I have been receiving correspondence from the real guy before sending over money via paypal. Here is a screenshot of their e-mail - can anyone attest it's the real deal? The phone # I've been texting with is 905 932 7130

their paypal was: sales@corvettesalvage.ca

You do know that Northern Corvette is in Canada ?
What in the world would they have that you can't source wherever you might be ??
But you seem a bit sketchy also ??
First time I have heard Northern Corvette mentioned here ??
This whole post sounds kind of weird !!

What a useless response honestly. If you don't know who the vendor is why even comment? I have done big ticket purchases with @mblake101 and bought my second C2 coupe from @robt020 . Kindly refrain from commenting on my post any further with your horrid tone. Just because one member has a low post count doesn't mean they're not legit. Plus that email address is questionable. I think you have found a scammer.

Smart move: asking the forum about a vendor. This is an increasingly serious problem: scammers using a legit name to take your money. In spite of occasional snide responses, we're a community dedicated to helping one another.
Verifying a physical address helps, by asking someone in this forum local to the area to check it out. I'd be glad to do that for someone, and many here would do likewise. The scammers will come up with some excuse to prevent an actual visit, such as asking for a deposit. Good catch on the phone number and email address.
Oh, and if you're looking for a hard-to-find part, ask here in the forum. There are massive numbers of parts in our garages that can go to a good home, and we're easier to verify.

Their website seems legit.

https://www.northerncorvette.com

I suggest you call the number on the website and verify the email, text, and PayPal that you have been given. You will find out very quickly.

Northern Corvette is a legitimate business here in Ontario Canada however I would contact them directly on the number from the website as Factoid suggested...your correspondence that you posted doesn't look legit. It might be but by contacting them directly you will know.
I think the owner's name there is James

I DO KNOW who the vendor is - I have been to his "establishment"..................... .

I was going off your initial post count of "one" (basically zero) and your "about me"information - you are a total unknown - could be a scammer ?

You state that you bought a bought a car that was once a fuelly - who knows what condition it's in now and first thing on here your looking at a 12K $ air cleaner

The whole thing sounded weird

The OP asked you to stop interfering with his thread. Please stop posting here.

Scammers have been a terrible issue on the site in recent months. Its absolutely legit to ask questions about any post or response if a member wants.

Thank you for such a kind response.

I've been looking for another air cleaner as I wanted to begin work on a '65 fuelie project (also looking for a fuel injection unit itself) so it's been tough trying to find the best deal
