Default Teak Wheel

Getting back into the hobby after circa 17 years & looking a teak wheel for a 65. Is Eric Freeman still around? Any others who make these? - seem to be in limited supply at elevated pricing.

Mike Lempert converted my stock plastic steering wheel to a teak wheel. Other than the long lead time, I couldn't be happier. His lead time might be better now. I think it is faster if you send him a wheel to convert.

Contact Virginia Vettes. The owner may have insight on securing a Freeman wheel. 👍

I had Mike build mine also. He offers to convert them on eBay for $900.00. I bought a repro 1969 wheel (he wasn't thrilled about doing a repop) but it came out really nice and I got the smaller, shallower wheel in teak.

You might want to look into a Grant #930.

The Grant is a nice wheel. I had one before I sent my original plastic wheel to Lempert for conversion to Teak.
The 930 is a bit smaller in diameter and a little fatter. It's great upgrade from the Plastic wheel at a reasonable cost.
