I just bought a 65 coupe restoration project. Somebody back in 60s or so decided to go Dr Seuss. Nose is cut off of it now, and rear deck has proper shape. In faded paint on door is Marty Siegler. 74 NY inspection sticker. I was wondering if anybody knows anything about its history.
'oh sweet baby Jesus'!!!
why do people do this stuff to these poor cars? Thank God it's in the right hands to be saved and brought back.
some of those old pictures really make me cringe.
Still hoping somebody out there has seen this thing in the past. Would love to know more about it.
It is a numbers matching, fully optioned L79 so I plan to bring it back to as close to original as I can. All the accessories are still there, but that means I have to learn how to fix ac, ps,pb, windows etc. So it should keep me busy for years. If my body holds up that long!
Idiots rhat did that should either be shot or better yet run over by a c2 doing 100 +.
If they did it today, or recently, I agree. If it was done back about 1970, you've got to realize that stuff was considered cool back then. Ask anybody who was around Vettes back then and chances are they will recall several cars that were departures from stock. Some were more radical, others tame, but nobody cared that they didn't look like they did when new.
Personally, I'm glad to see that one returned to original and hope OP has fun doing it.

This will not be a problem, there are multiple people on this forum that know how to do each of those things and are happy to help walk you through it.
