Default Bumper Brackets
How are some of you finishing your bumper brackets when doing a restoration on a C1? I was planning on a satin black. Also engine bay and wheel wells. I am not concerned about originality.

i powder coated mine...along with everything else

I used satin black on the wheel wells and gloss on the bumper brackets, made a nice contrast.

Right. Powder-coating is the way to go. It's not really much more expensive than paint, but lasts forever. If still building your car, I'd suggest getting a powder-coating outfit from Eastwood.
