Default ‘67 Seat Latch Help

First picture is from EBay ad along with statement that latch was complete, working, blah, blah, blah.Second is picture of how it arrived with the springs removed and a little more actual corrosion. No idea why springs were removed before sending.
Anyway, could someone please detail the procedure for getting the springs back on without breaking them? Also,I think I am missing a spring just inside the frame on the axis connecting the handle.

Take a look at this photo from another thread. It shows the spring attachments very well.

Thanks.I have those pictures but I had not seen the discussion in the posts associated with them and it was very helpful. My question is how do you get the springs back in.I don’t want to break them trying to get them back in.

First the hook part has to be put over the edge of whichever lever the spring is pulling on. Then I'd try Vice-Grips or the like to move the spring arm into place.

Never had to do it myself, but by the picture I think I'd put the upper spring on the post but not tension it. This will allow the lower spring to be installed with the leg against the body of the upper spring. After that, tension the upper spring onto the frame bracket.

If a spring does break, I noticed they are available individually from vendors.

It is very easy to put these back on with needle nose vice grips. There is not much pressure on them. The top one will look like it wants to pop off, but it wont.
