Well.. Odd experience here that may show you have more options in certain areas. Basically, I was on the hunt for a replacement cigarette lighter **** for my 54, found one on ebay marked as for a 1954 Bel Air, bought it, and grafted it to the 12V lighter I am using. Here is a pic of a 1954 Bel Air dash. If you look, the **** for the washer / windshield wiper on the left looks the same as well as the **** on the right of the steering column; you will need to of course mind the color your are going for.
Now its possible that the **** I got from the ebay listing was wrong, but the results were good. Below is a pic of the original 6V lighter with **** next to my 12V lighter with Bel Air. The Bel Air one is brighter as it is cleaner.
Woodrow, thanks for the information. GM used a lot of parts that were already in production when they built the Corvette, I thought the dash ***** might have been used on another car. Your lighter looks really good. Bob
