That was my guess, a new one, unless someone found some old paperwork. I wasn't on a device to poach the pictures, but finally saw the engine bay and it has the old rusty master cylinder. Thus do believe it is real. #8624 in my unshared notes was not coming up as a California car. So I was thinking a different one. There is a claim of Scott Briley ownership paperwork found, but then they don't seem to know the dealer that employed him, who sponsored him, where he ordered the car, so will hold onto that for now to see if this car is Dealership searched. If dealership not shared, then not Scott Briley's car, but a newly discovered Z06, none the less, so far. I was zooming into the engine looking even for wrench marks on the master cylinder nuts: yes I do weird stuff like that. #7530 is pretty darn early, Jan without doing the Vin calculator yet. A few other suspected one built Nov 62 are suspected (Cantrell, maybe Kingman), but by mid-Dec they kind of froze the run. Thus I think the Silver one #3809 was the revised brake prototype car, etc. No other car fits!!!!!!!!!!! Truly I am not greatly interested in C2 Coupes, but decided to help the C2 Z06 and so called Pilot line car history, purely for the helluva it, as the experts overtime jacked up all of this history, their bull causing the history to be jacked up for 60 years. I really for the sake of this history, appreciate the shares. I have been generous with my shares for zero profit, zero fame wanted, so I like other like minded people who just want to help all of this interesting history.

Just to share- Scott Briley had one of the HDSP 1966 Pre-L88 Zora shipped kit converted out the back door M22, the Headers cars.
1967 ARRC (SCCA National Championships)
Scott Briley has been long term missed as one of the great Corvette campaigners! His C1 history finally coming back to light. He got the attention of Zora and almost got the nod, vice Guldstrand. How he ended up getting an HDSP kit. Guldstrand was recommended to Penske based on his 2 Westcoast Campionship winning race drives, and he was a college graduate engineer, known wrench guy. Enjoy this share. I haven't given any free research finds lately to everyone, but will post this also on my Registry page too!

My father bought the car in October and we trailered it from Reno to Chicago for MCACN. I noticed people questioning it's legitimacy, which is fair for a rare car like this. If you have any questions or further info that would help us you can email me at digitalgreentrack@gmail.com 😁

Seeing the pictures, I feel real Z06. The Briley tie in, always hope for more proof shown or discussed and for all of these types of rare cars, not just a claim based on color and location found which isn't the sole claimed connection with this one! I think some document related to Scott was found, I already added it to my little registry work, just have moved onto other stuff already! Last thought I mentioned was believing I have a color picture of his car somewhere from back in the day, and was awaiting the dealership disclosure, because I think I know which! As I said he worKed at the Dealership!

We have the original title, as well as a copy of the paper you send in to the DMV for non operation filled out by Briley. It was never registered for a license plate. He was a sales manager at the Chevrolet dealership in Escondido. It's called Quality Chevrolet today I am not sure if it was called Quality in 1963 though. Just to clarify you are saying you have a color photo of this Z06? That would be amazing, we have found great photos but I know there are more out there I just don't know where to look now.
Great! Yes he was listed in race programs living in Vista, just northwest of Escondido. The Dealership wasn't know to sponsor racing, but he got parts discounts and could use their bays limitedly. PS the License Plate you say he never had, is listed on the top right of the Reggie, as he was driving his new car to and from work for a time. A group of guys from that Dealership were weekend drag racers, Carlsbad Dragstrip close by their home haunt track!
This picture of Escondido, will answer one of your questions as to the age of that dealership!

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
