Default speed warning speedometer

For my restomod I had this cluster restored a few years ago (it's been a long build) by "Corvette instrument services" in Florida. I'm about ready to install it. I think it was originally for a '66 or '67? Anyway I've found that the speed warning speedo is pretty rare and valuable and since I'm not doing an NCRS judged car by any means I may try to sell it to make some bucks

and just get a "normal" Speedo for my build. Anyone know what year it is for and value? Thanks

It's a 67 only option for that cluster. Speed warning was available for all 67-69 GM cars and trucks. Do you have the buzzer? The harnnes is reproduced. But a restored cluster with a buzzer I see people asking 2-2,500 for Not sure what people are paying.

Not sure if it has the buzzer. There's nothing on the back that looks like a buzzer. If it's internal to the speedo it's probably still there. When it was rebuilt they said it was valuable. Now I see on the back it reads "MAR 22 1967 015" Thanks

The buzzer was attached to the bird cage cross bar behind the radio

I thought early 63 solid lifter motors had a buzzer for the tach?

63 solid lifter Corvettes through about VIN 5000 had a functioning buzzer tach set to go off at the 6500 RPM redline, not a speed warning speedometer.

Being installed under the dash the buzzer was useless because at 6500 it couldn't be heard over the sound of the engine, so it was dropped. If I remember the sequence correctly, cars through around VIN 4000-5000 came with the buzzer tach, the harness and buzzer. After that they came with the tach and buzzer, but no harness to connect them. Then for awhile they came with just the buzzer tach (no harness or buzzer) and eventually around VIN 10,000 they came with a standard tach with no provision for the buzzer. I assume this was when they finally used up the supply of buzzer tachs they had on hand?

Back around 1970 my father had a Buick Electra with a speed warning speedometer. I would borrow it occasionally, and as typically stupid teenagers, my friends and I would take it down back roads and do dumb things like set the buzzer higher and higher to see how high we could set it before car couldn't go fast enough to set it off. He use to leave it set around 65 and got in it one time when I'd forgotten to reset it, I played dumb and claimed I hadn't touched it but I don't think he bought it. I didn't get to borrow it as much after that.

Glenn dad's 67 coupe with side pipes has speed warning and with the windows down you can barely hear the buzzer. Windows up you can hear just fine. Same with my Chevelle.
