Default Hedman BB side pipe headers

I need a few pic of headers listed above, driver's side. C2 or C3. I need to see how they clear the steering shaft and clutch bell crank. I'm experimenting.

Thanks
Tom

As far as how they look.........I fricking love the way they look......I would go so far as to employ the 4" "Hot Pipes". I did that on my 74 Ragtop!!! I love it .....Dates, well not so much!

Good Luck!

I've the 65 20 couple years and always had Hooker sidepipes. I love the look as well. But the sb primares are 1 7/8". Too big I think for a sb around 425 hp. The Hooker bb primaries are 1 3/4 which should be about right.

My engine is a sb 355 but it puts out C2 bb hp. I'm trying to modify bb headers to fit a sb. 1 3/4 primary tube headers are hard to come by and expensive for a gen 1 sbc. I called Hedman since they make both sb and bb side pipe headers for a C2/3. Should be easy to make. They are not interested.

I had the hooker sb ceramic side pipe headers, and yeah, too big for a 327 in mild trim. Just checked, hooker and Doug's both have 1 7/8 primaries. Not sure why.

I only had one historical picture of my Hedman's installed.
The others show areas that were dented to clear other parts.
The spark plug clearances were increased when I used them on a raised port head.
The starter would have been a full size, not a mini, which should clear ok.
Hope these help.

I never thought about the plug wires but I don't use the covers. If it's too involved I won't do it.
Thanks for the pics! They help.

I didnt have to make any dents to clear anything. I did cut off the collector and put vband clamps on and went 3" all the way to the side exhaust.
