Installing telescopic column
Getting ready to install a telescopic column in my 65.
The trip reset cable moves to a different location on the telescopic specific mounting bracket.
Will the original cable fit or is there a specific one for the telescopic set up?
I can find no reference to this in any of the AIM or factory manuals.

I installed a stock telescopic column in my 66 about year and a half ago. Very straight forward,install, my original reset cable fits fine in the telescopic bracket.
Rebuilding a telescopic column has some quirks, like getting the lower spring retainer clip installed is PITA. Repo parts aren't quite the same especially the lower bearing cap. It is possible to build an entire telescopic column for 65-66 from the parts houses (like all things mid-year not cheap).
