I have a '66 with leaking calipers. Can anyone recommend a new set of calipers with SS sleeves and o-ring seals that will pass NCRS judging or should I send mind in and have them rebuilt? Mine have lip seals and they are without SS sleeves.

Are your current calipers NCRS correct for your car? If so I would strongly consider going with having those sleeved and rebuilt.

Damn, that's high score, and without driving points bonus I would think that's a damn near perfect C2. Congrats. 1.1% off of perfect can be within the error of judging accuracy, so one could conclude that your calipers are correct. Do you have the judging sheets to confirm (but yeah, probably not needed)?

Great score! Keep in mind that in the big scheme of things, the calipers do not carry much weight in points (with the right bleeders on them you are usually good to go). That being said, I like to keep the correct parts on my cars so given the cars past judging history, if it were my car I'd send the existing calipers out for rework.

Look at the casting numbers on the calipers and compare them to what they should be. If they're the correct casting number, send them to Lone Star Caliper and ask them to rebuild them for you...problem solved. If the casting numbers aren't correct, Lone Star can provide correct, rebuilt calipers and use yours as cores.

As Leif said; check the casting numbers

Castings have julian date codes - make sure as you've been told. If original to the car as in the dates match up, then Lonestar is the ONLY shop that can machine your originals and KEEP the guides inside and also provide black isolators - so tha tyour car ---- remains correct. A sharp eye can tell if the pistons have the isolators...
