Default Bra

I acquired this with a bunch of parts that I purchased but I am unsure if it is a C3 bra.
It is very supple and in nice condition.

Thanks

interesting, I just logged on looking for comments about protecting the front end of my C2 during an open transport...are you looking to keep this?

thanx,

previous owner installed one on my 67. Was installed for decades (mid-1980s thru 2022), but to hide some previous damage repair.

I removed it, and there were no problems with the paint under the bra (not the original paint)…

I hand polished and waxed the entire car, and there is no indication it ever had a bra…

November 2021, as purchased.

body damage ( crack filled with resin, but no sanding done). Previous owner said he bought it this way in the mid-1980s. You can actually see some scratches behind where the bra was. The bra effectively reduced damage.

this was immediately after removing the bra…. No polishing had been done, and no noticeable issues from the bra.

It’s for a C2. There’s a C2 logo on it and the headlight openings are on the front end.

I used one on a car I had years ago and it scratched the paint.

Long term use of a "bra" on any car, that's driven regularly, will have a detrimental effect on the paint. Dirt and dust get under the bra and, while driving, the bra moves and abrasion occurs. I've had two bras on two different cars and they both, eventually, scratched the paint. The paint was salvageable but not worth the hassle.
