How many of you guys run the reproduction bolt on wheels instead of the rally wheels? I can’t decide if I’d rather run original rally wheels or repo bolt on wheels. God knows you can’t afford real Kelsey Hayes bolt on.

I have run both style of wheel on my 67.

I started with the rally wheels because they were cheaper and easier. After running rallys for about 43 years, I finally had enough disposable income to change over to red lines (Diamondback Auburn Premium) and reproduction bolt-ons (Virginia Vettes). After seeing the new look at Cars and Coffee, many of my C2 friends commented that moving from the rally wheels to the bolt-ons very much changed the look of the car from aggressive to more upscale/classy, whatever the heck that means.

My rally wheels were original (7 inch from a 68 C3). Here are two pictures to compare. I would never change back to Rally Wheels. It's a matter of taste (and money). C.J.

They all look great, but I still lean toward the Rally's. It just looks right.

Really like & have both. I run the BO & redlines.

It's an opinion thing - do whatever floats your boat!

Since the "bolt ons" are a one year only IMCO they stand out more because "rally wheels" continued long into the C3 generation.

Default Thank for all the input

Good input, I also like both. However Bolt Ons were only 67. I tend to agree with that fact and think I’ll stay with them.

I have had both on my 67 and prefer the Rallye wheels.
