Sooo, they can be unbolted like a hardtop and sold. BUT, you need the frame etc. for the new one...
IMO you should keep your current fitted frame. OEM style vinyl conv kits are nominal in the grand scheme of things

To remove the hundreds of staples and keep it in usable shape will be a tall task when you can buy a brand new one for not that much
and IMHO that would be a mistake to change colors on that car

By the time you get it off it will be damaged. That is probably old hard vinyl. Have you considered saddle tan ?
