Guys, I’m getting different directions in terms of placement for the decals I need to put on my engine. The first decal is the air cleaner assembly decal that is 327 350 hp decal. What is the proper placement? I am led to believe that it is centered between the leading edge of the chrome top and the wingnut. Is this correct? The next question is in regards to the HT yellow decal that goes on the valve cover. I am led to believe that it goes on the passenger side valve cover only and on the side of the valve cover centered. Is this correct? And my last question is the water soluble 350 hp decals that go on the valve covers. I am led to believe that only the driver side receives this decal and it is on the center of the side of the valve cover. But if that’s the case, why are they sold in pairs. These may seem like silly questions
but it’s my first rebuild. I wanna make sure everything goes back correctly. Your advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
'66 does not use the Air Cleaner Decal. The 350 HP water slide decals go on both valve covers. The HT decal goes on the back of the passenger side valve cover (look in reflection in picture below).

What KingRat has posted is absolutely correct for your 66 327/350, "350 Horsepower" water soluble decals on the side of each valve cover and the "HT" broadcast code on the rear of the right (passenger) side valve cover. There was no "327" air cleaner label on 66 small blocks. For 67 the horsepower valve cover decals were replaced on small blocks with the air cleaner label, while big blocks used an air cleaner label since their introduction in 65.
You've seen the air cleaner label on other year Corvettes because some owners like the look of them, but the only years that Chevrolet ever used them was on 67-71 small blocks and 65-71 big blocks.
