Vacation time!
Like 67Heaven before me, I'm taking a vacation somewhere else. I've enjoyed my time here and I've always tried to be a voice of reason when others had disputes, but as I've always said to others, we're here to share, learn and have fun. I'm taking my own advice.
If you're wondering why, read my bio and realise- I'm not the only one who has experienced this; others have been treated much worse.

Awww poopie, it just aint right Mac, you and Heaven will REALLY be missed. I hope this mess gets staightened out REAL soon and you two get back in the fold here... :sad:

One of the problems with the internet is it's so darn easy for a single person to cause a ton of trouble. I will truly miss you and 67Heaven and hope you change your minds!

I will miss your wisdom as well. Maybe it is because I don't come around enough, but I really don't have a clear understanding of the issue here. Possibly if someone would share that we might find a solution.

Since I've had the opportunity to spend some time with Mac and family and know what a gentle and gracious giant he is it is especially painful to hear that he is leaving the forum because of the indiscretions of a few immature members. Mac's and Heaven's posts were always courteous, gratious and intelligent. Sorry to see this happen on an otherwise great forum. We'll sadly miss you guys and look forward to the day when you will once again participate on this forum. We'll stay in touch Mac. :seeya :cheers:

I read a lot more than I post. I hate to see some jerk "win" and good guys "lose"---which is what will happen to the regular readers by your departure, Mac. I hope you reconsider :cheers: .

you can help ensure the 'jerk' loses by going through all your vendor catalogs and throwing into the trash any that originate from bridgeport CT that brag about how they sued and won $70K from a competitor catalog.

I hate to see both of you guys go. If I read it correctly...it is a problem with one member and maybe the forum's administration not getting involved ? I hope both of you know that you have more friends than enemies.

I am very much like 427435. I have been reading posts on a daily basis for a year and a half and have only posted a few times. I find most forums on the net, including most other forums associated with this site, to be full of petty behavior. I have enjoyed your insight and hope the forum maintains the atmosphere during your absence that I have come to enjoy.

I don't post much (I am still very much in the learning stage) but I do read this great forum daily. As this forum is driven by advertising which is driven by users, I would think the forum owners would want to keep the great posters around to maintain traffic. Without the great knowledge and amusement of guys like 67Heaven, Mac, Chuck, Vietnam, Rich, Duntov) this forum probably wouldn't maintain its viewership (as evidenced by the migration of members to the other site).......I hope the administrators understand the significance of not protecting these guys and reconsider making things right.
